Coconut Juice/Water

Coconut juice is found in the center of a coconut. Coconut juice is also sometimes referred to as Coconut water.  Both refer to the clear, slightly sweet and refreshing liquid found inside young green coconuts.  Coconut juice may sometimes contain coconut pulp or jelly from within the coconut.  Although coconut water/juice has long been enjoyed in tropical regions, it has only recently become very popular in the US. Unlike coconut milk,  coconut juice is naturally low in calories and almost fat free. It’s also full of electrolytes, such as potassium, low in sodium, leading it to become known as “nature’s sports drink.” Besides drinking it straight up, coconut water/juice may be used in a variety of recipes.

For very good reasons, this drink has been referred to as the ‘fluid of life’. Its electrolyte level quickly re-balances the body’s fluids and is especially great for effortlessly eliminating toxins from the body. This amazing juice also has a balanced proportion of potassium, calcium, magnesium and sodium for a speedy recovery and re-hydration after physical exertion or daily exercise. It is naturally isotonic which means that it can assist athletes in re-hydrating while balancing the body’s electrolytes.  It is one of the only fruit juices with the lowest calorie content and has less than 0.2% fat by weight. If you want excellent re-hydration after some physical exercise or you just want to do your body a favor with this remarkable organic drink, try coconut water or coconut juice!
